REFINEMENT & BLOOD

Campion Head2.jpg

Campion KSNZ is a top quality son of the legendary sire CARETINO.  His temperament is desirable of a breeding stallion; he is respectful, obedient and kind, he also has an excellent work ethic which allowed him the mental capacity to concentrate and perform at a high level in competition, despite the obvious distractions in competition. Campion KSNZ is ideally suited to improving the jumping style, canter and temperament of a mare.

Caretino bloodlines will outlast many generations.

Campion Pedigree1.jpg

Campion KSNZ refines and adds blood to his foals being 50% NZ Thoroughbred. This top quality TB line preserves the stamina and quickness in a pedigrees performance genetics, encouraging quick responses in the body and limbs and the the stamina essential for eventing and show jumping. For breeders whose mares have a lot of bone or not enough blood, or are lacking the Thoroughbred component that is so valuable in a performance pedigree - Campion would be an excellent choice.

Campion is by the internationally successful World Cup Show Jumping super sire Caretino, who is the sire of Casall ASK among many other famous progeny, such as Carpaccio and Cristallo ridden by Richard Spooner.

Campion has been successful across all disciplines, receiving national placings in Eventing (reserve national one day champion at 1* (now 2*) level in 2012), and dressage (competing level 7 and showing lots of talent for the GP movements) as well as competing to 1.30cm SJ.

To Campions testament he is now proving to be a very rideable schoolmaster dressage horse to an amateur dressage rider and will start the new season at Level 6. Career highlight to date; Reserve Champion PSG at The North Island Champs 2016, only beaten by the extraordinary Vanessa Way and just this weekend one of Campions progeny took out 5/6/7 year old classes at the South Island 3 Day Champs 2020.

Campion KSNZ's Sire, Caretino, had over 50 sons licensed, and over 20 daughters were awarded with state premium status. His standout star is the legendary stallion, Casall.  On the WBFSH sire rankings in 2014, he was in 18th place. On the 2015 rankings, he had moved to 14th with his points outstanding progeny points earners. Campion KSNZ has an incredible likeness to his sire which certainly implies the blood is stamped throughout his stallion sons. Caretino was the last of the seven stallion sons by Caletto II to enter the Holstein Studbook. Campion KSNZ was assessed by Holsteiner New Zealand in 2009 and Licensed with them prior to obtaning his NZWB Licensing.
